The procedure is initiated by handing in the following documents at the address below: University of Belgrade, 1 Studentski trg, Belgrade, either post office or in person at Office No.1 (Monday-Friday 8:30-16:00):  

1. two copies of request for recognition of foreign higher education document  
2. two photocopies of a diploma and diploma supplement (containing a list of exams passed) certified by a notary public in the Republic of Serbia; 
3. two copies of a certified translation of a diploma and diploma supplement (list of exams passed) into the Serbian language, translated by a sworn-in court interpreter in the Republic of Serbia; 
4. proof of payment of the administrative fee; 
5. proof of payment of the Republic administrative fee; 
6. document issued by the authorized body on name and/or surname change for persons who have changed their name and/or surname.

Republic administrative fee for academic recognition of foreign higher education documents is 13.210 RSD (thirteen thousand two hundred ten dinars) – (Payment instructions).

5. complete information of the study program curriculum in electronic or printed form; 
6. proof of payment of the administrative fee; 
7. proof of payment of the Republic administrative fee; 
8. document issued by the authorized body on name and/or surname change for persons who have changed their name and/or surname.

The procedure for the recognition of a foreign higher education document for the purpose of enrollment in the next cycle of higher education must be started no later than seven days before the deadline for application in the 2023/2024 academic year set by the Faculty. Foreign documents submitted after these deadlines will be eligible only for enrollment in the following academic year.

The procedure for the recognition of a foreign document on completed part of a study program for the purpose of continuing the education at the same cycle of higher education studies (undergraduate academic or doctoral academic studies) must be started no later than June 1, 2023.
