On 12 October 2026, the University of Belgrade welcomed students from its international partner universities who will spend the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year studying in Belgrade. The traditional Welcome Day provided an opportunity for students to meet one another, share experiences and get acquainted with academic and student life in the city.

A performance by the Choir of the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Philology added a special touch to the event, contributing to its warm and welcoming atmosphere.

To help students settle into their new environment, representatives of the University of Belgrade’s International Relations Office provided essential information about studying at the University, administrative procedures and requirements during their stay in Serbia. Representatives of the international student organization Erasmus Student Network (ESN) also introduced various forms of support available to international students, along with a program of social and cultural activities planned for the semester. These activities will offer opportunities to make new connections, build friendships and become part of Belgrade’s vibrant student community.

The welcome program extended beyond the University premises, offering students an opportunity to explore Belgrade. As part of the accompanying activities, students took part in a guided walking tour through the city center, discovering some of its most notable landmarks and learning about its rich history. The University of Arts in Belgrade made a valuable contribution to the program by supporting the organization of a visit to the National Museum, giving students an opportunity to gain a deeper insight into Serbia’s cultural and historical heritage. The ESN also played an important role in the whole process, with its representatives accompanying students throughout these activities, offering additional support and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere, encourage new connections and make students feel more at home in their new environment.

The University of Belgrade wishes all incoming students a successful start of the semester, filled with new knowledge, valuable experiences and friendships that will continue even beyond their stay on mobility. We hope that their time in Belgrade will leave them with lasting memories, shaped not only by their academic experiences but also by the people they meet and the connections they make along the way.
