Please note that the original documents should also be submitted to the University of Belgrade by the end of the recognition procedure, when the relevant conditions for this to be done have been fulfilled.

Evaluation of a foreign study program is a procedure of assessing the type and level of knowledge acquired and skills achieved in a study program or in a part of a study program organized by a foreign higher education institution.
Recognition of foreign higher education documents for the purpose of further education is is a procedure which grants the document holder the right to continue education at the University of Belgrade.
The University of Belgrade has changed the procedure of the evaluation of a foreign study programme or its part and recognition of foreign higher education documents for the purpose of further education. As of April 25th 2016 candidates should submit a new application form for recognition, in accordance with the new Book of Rules, to the Office No 1. A newly formed University Commission adopts decisions about requests.
The procedure of recognition for the purpose of further education entails the evaluation of a foreign study programme or its part and establishes the candidate’s right to continue the enroled course or enrol a certain study programme.
Candidates submit the request for recognition of foreign higher education document to the Archive of the University of Belgrade (1 Studentski trg, Begrade, Room No.1)
The request shall be accompanied by:
1) two certified photocopies of a foreign higher education document and diploma supplement (list of exams passed);
2) two copies of translation of the foreign higher education documents into the Serbian language, certified by an authorized court interpreter;
3) proof of payment of procedure expenses;
4) two certified copies of a decision by the authorized body on name and/or surname change for persons who have changed their name and/or surname.
During the procedure, a candidate may also be asked to submit other documents relevant for document recognition. Information deemed relevant is also that seen on the official Internet site of the higher education institution which issued the document in question. At a candidate’s request, if the submitted documentation is complete, the University issues the confirmation of the initiated procedure of recognition of the higher education document for the purpose of further education.
