Project results:
  1. Business processes at the universities in Serbia and other partner countries are analyzed and compared, as basis for the solution design and architecture. Available data models are analyzed from both University Lion III, and from earlier Tempus project. The requirement specification is defined in interviews with university management.
  2. Subproject Soleil: Data model for data exchange was defined and refined in a joint cooperation with technical representatives from the faculties. It is available here
  3. Subproject Korona: Interface for data exchange in the form of Web service was developed, and installed for production use at the University of Belgrade. End point reference for the web service is: http://pixy.rcub.bg.ac.rs/axis2/services/korona. You can also check out the WSDL, and an example query.
  4. Subproject Orka: Web service client RI (Reference Implementation) was implemented in Java, and made available to the faculties. It is available here.
  5. Subproject Dbfparser - The software for export data from the faculty information system that is most common at the University of Belgrade is made available under Open-source (Apache) license at the same URL as above.
  6. Subproject Uni-web: Web application for public access to the university data (programs, teachers and so on) was developed, and made public here.
  7. Subproject Univerzitet-web: Software for university staff was developed with the following functionalities:
    - Searching, Viewing and Analysis of gathered data.
    - Body meetings management
    - Foreign students management
    - Issued diploma management
  8. The hardware necessary for the information system was obtained.
  9. The training of the users was done, and the software was put into production.
Indirect project results:
  1. The working group with technical representatives from all member institutions was created at the University of Belgrade. Although this working group was not mentioned in the project, its importance outreached the project scope, and it continues do deliver technical help to member institutions.
  2. The data model for exchange was extended to include more details from the rank lists which are available here.
  3. Faculty information system (FIS) project is started in joint cooperation between School of Electric Engineering and University of Belgrade.
  4. Centralized diploma printing and issuing was planed as extension to the existing information system (univerzitet-web). Current situation at the Universities is that all the member institutions are issuing different diplomas that are only signed by the Rector. The proposed solution is that all diplomas are issued and printed at the centralized location, and detailed data about them are in the information system.
